MUMBAI: Famous Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor said he was the one who convinced Alia Bhatt to act in his upcoming movie ‘URTA PUNJAB’.
During the promotional activity of movie ‘SHANDAAR’ along with Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt, Shahid revealed to media that he had been planning ‘URTA PUNJAB’ for one year but no actress was willing to do this character.
“I told Alia that this is the kind of character which suits her best and she must do it, soon after two days Alia called me crying and said she was very inspired by this script and would perform the character herself.”
Shahid further said that it was the bravery of Alia that she said ‘YES’ to this character.
