ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister to Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that five members of petroleum ministry took advantage of their post and used training fund.
While answering to the National Assembly Members he clarified, 12.79% GST (General Sales Tax) was imposed on petrol and 22.74% was imposed on diesel, while petroleum levy was imposed with some other tax ratio.
He further said that LPG (Liquid Petroleum Gas) can be produced by two ways like refineries and search, while CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) can only be acquired through search. LPG is better than CNG on performance basis in vehicles, he said.
He said OGDC (Oil and Gas Development Company) has showed record performance and soon we will provide the gas connections to areas like Nowshera, Hangu and performance was effected due to law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He further added that we had brotherly ties with Afghanistan and our mission is to extend motorway plan is upto Kabul. We are negotiating with the Afghan Government also he said that Pakistan government will bear all kind of expenses of motorway plan.
