PESHAWAR – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday announced to introduce bio-metric voting system in the Haripur by-election.
By-election in N-19 constituency will held on 16 of August.
According to details, ECP will introduce the bio-metric system in 30 polling stations of NA-19.
Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) approached the ECP and asked to hold the local bodies election under the bio-metric voting system but ECP refused to do because of untrained staff.
