Islamabad, KP, Punjab and Kashmir jolt with earthquake

ISLAMABAD – Khyber Pakhtukhwa, Islamabad and adjoined areas on Monday jolted with major shocks of earthquake.

The intensity of the tremors on the Richter is told to be 6.6.

The epic centre of the quake was Afghan-Tajikistan border, with the depth of 200 kilometer.

After the tremors panic spread in the earthquake hit areas and people came out of house.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Peshawar, Swat, Chitral, Batkhaila, Abbottabad, Mansehra and Chitral among the cities effected by the earthquake.

Director General MET Ghulam Rasool said that shocks of earthquake were also observe in some parts of India.

Tremors were also felt in the federal capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi along its suburbs areas.

No causalities reported so far.
