Five arrested in Lahore over illegal kidney transplantation

LAHORE: Factory Area police in Lahore arrested 5 people on Sunday involved in illegal kidney transplantation.

Arrested convicts include three doctors naming Dr Sarfraz, Dr Amir and Dr Ramzan while other two are Miss Mona and Laboratory Assistant Sheraz, says local police.

According to police spokesman, convicts used to transplant kidneys for Rupees 24 lacs at a substandard place.

Their recent victims Wasims Awan and Shehzad are told to be under critical condition.
