NAB arrested Qsim Zia over corruption charges

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party Punjab’s senior leader and former MPA Qasim Zia has been arrested Saturday under corruption charges.

Punjab wing of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Qasim Zia under fraud charges of 70 caror rupees.

Qasim Zia has been charged for selling fake shares of a private company, he had been president of Pakistan Hockey Federation in PPP’s last tenure.

NAB has acquired 14 days physical remand from court.

Qasim Zia was a part of Pakistan Hockey team from 1980 to 1987. He was elected as MPA on PPP ticket.
