LAHORE: Pakistan’s heroic all-rounder and star performer in the second Twenty20 against Sri Lanka, Anwar Ali reflects on his most memorable moments of life.
Star all-rounder told in a TV program on Friday that his most memorable moment of life was the debut match against South Africa back in 2013 which Pakistan won by 13 runs thanks to Anwar Ali’s all-round performance.
Responding to a question, Anwar told ‘Partnership with Bhatti [Bilawal Bhatti] on the crucial stage when Pakistan were 7 down for 112 and taking 3 key wickets of including Jacques Kallis was the most memorable moment and of course a dream debut.”
Anwar said though he was very happy of himself but tears rolled down from his eyes thinking of his late father.
Right arm medium pacer also expressed his desire to play Test cricket for Pakistan.
Talking about ODI captain Azher Ali, Anwar credited him for creating a friendly environment in the dressing room and in the field.
He praised Azher Ali for his performance and said he [Azher] is confident himself and so he gives confidence to his players.
