Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2nd T20: Sri Lanka set 173-target for Pakistan

COLOMBO: Sri Lanka has set a sizeable total of 173 runs with an average of 8.68 runs per over against Pakistan in final Twenty20 (T20) at Pramadasa stadium, Colombo.

Sri Lanka after taking a blistering start, lost quick wickets that put a halt in the scoring pace, but young Jayasuriya’s 40 0f 32 balls gave little help before he popped a back of a length ball from Tanvir straight to short extra cover. He left Sri Lanka 97/5 after 13 overs.

It was the sixth wicket partnership between Siriwardana and Kapugedera that brought the lost momentum back in Lankan innings, adding 55 runs in 33 balls to help Lanka set up a  173-runs fighting target.

Kapugedera scored  quick 48 in 25 balls.

Shoaib Malik both bowled economically and helped visitors to restrict Sri Lanka to minimum score.

He took 2 wickets for 16 in his 3 overs.

Pakistan are yet to bat.
