Convict of 1993 Mumbai blasts hanged to death in India

NAGPUR – Convicted of 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts, Yakub Memon was hanged till death on Thursday at Nagpur Central Jail Maharashtra, India.

Indian official claimed that Yakub Memon was involved in the March, 12 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. He was hanged to death on his 54th Birthday on Thursday morning.

His clemency petitions an court appeals were rejected by several courts, including the Supreme Court, the Bombay High Court, governor of Maharashtra and the president of India.

Yakub Memon’s pronounced dead by medical team at jail a short while later he was hanged. He was hanged at 6:35am.
