KARACHI – Another major break down hit Karachi as most of the feeders were tripped in various areas.
Power supply to several part of Karachi still no restored. Power crisis is likely to further intensify as electricity supply disconnected to Industrial Zone including Port Qasim and Pakistan Steel Mills throwing these areas into the dark. The blackout affected mostly the densely-populated areas, from Gharo to Karachi Industrial Area, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Bhains Colony, Port Qasim, Quaidabad, Malir and Karachi airport.
On the other hand, spokesperson of K-Electric claimed that emergency response team had restored the power supply to several parts of Karachi.
He said that team are working to solve the problem and trying to restore the supply to city.
