Azhar Ali quickest Pakistani batsman to score 1000 ODI runs

COLOMBO: Pakistan’s new One Day International (ODI) skipper Azhar Ali becomes the quickest Pakistani batsman to score 1000 runs in 50-over format.

Azhar Ali took only 23 inning to reach this milestone for the Green-Shirts.

He has so far scored two centuries and seven half centuries in his career and made 1008 runs at an impressive average of 52.

He has also become the first Asian batsman to score 1000 runs in 23 ODIs.

It is pertinent to mention here that, Quinton De Kock holds the record of fasted 1000 runs in ODIs in just 21 innings.
