Angelo Mathews blames wicket for defeat

COLOMBO: Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews blamed wicket’s unusual behavior for their big margin defeat last night in third of the five-match One Day International at Colombo.

Mathews said that the wicket’s unusual turn made it hard to score runs in the second innings of the crucial game.

Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by 135 runs in the third One Day International at Colombo to take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Pakistan need to win the series 4-1 to surpass West Indies in ICC ODI rankings and qualify for Champions Trophy 2017.
