WASHINGTON: The crescent moon for Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be cited today on 16 July in United States of America as per Islamic Crescent Observation Project (ICOP) announcement.
Many sects of Muslims in the United States usually follow announcements of moon-sighting in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile in UAE, the Minister of Justice Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi is to chair a moon-sighting committee he set up to confirm the start of the month of Shawwal.
The Committee is to convene after Maghreb prayer today on 29th of Ramadan at the Judiciary Department in Abu Dhabi.
