PALLEKELE: The two-wickets defeat against Sri Lanka in second ODI at Pallekele has dropped Pakistan to 9th spot again.
According to details, after the defeat Pakistan lost the only point that they had gained for winning first game of the five-match series.
Pakistan with 87 points now stand on 9th place in ICC ODI rankings, with only one point away from its other competitor West Indies in the race for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
On the other hand, Bangladesh has cemented its place in the Trophy after they stunned 4th ranked South Africa in the three-match ODI series, beating the visitors 2-1.

To qualify for the Trophy, Pakistan has to win this series 4-1.
