Ban Ki-moon appreciates Pakistan’s efforts to restore peace in Afghanistan

NEW YORK – United Nation Chief, Ban Ki-moon has appreciated the efforts of Pakistan in order to promote peace in Afghanistan.

In a statement, he repeated his support for an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process.

The United Nations Secretary-General  has appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating direct talks between Afghan government and the Taliban.

Ban Ki Moon also expressed his organization and international world support to Pakistan in fight against terrorism.

Praising Pakistan’s effort in the war against terrorism he said that Pakistan is the largest contributor of UN peacekeeping troops, for which we are enormously grateful.
