Several areas of Karachi remain in dark during last 24 hours

KARACHI –  People of Karachi suffering from massive electricity break down fro last 24 hours and citizens of Karachi also suffering from shortage of water because of shutting down of the pumping stations, on Wednesday.

Several areas of Karachi remain in dark from last 24 hours. People are suffering through worst load shedding and water According to the Karachi.

Load shedding also caused water shortage in the city.

Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) the electricity supply to Dhabeji pumping station disconnected after electricity breakdown in Karachi as well as at Dhabeji pumping station.

Earlier, Electricity supply system confounded following a worst technical fault at the Bin Qasim Power Plant  on Tuesday, pushing Karachi in the dark.

K-Electric spokesperson said that two power plants of the Bin Qasim Power Plant-I have disturbed due to a technical fault that tripped power supply of 700 MW, causing over 50% of the city in complete dark.

However, he said that technical experts were continuously busy to resolve the problems for resumption of electricity.

The spokesperson rejected to give any specific time needed to ensure resuming of power supply to the city.

Mostly areas of the metropolis affected following the massive power breakdown especially the Super Highway, Shah Faisal, Shahrah-e-Faisal, Defence, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Nursery, PECHS, New Karachi, Clifton, Landhi, Korangi and Nazimabad.

Karachi police communication system was badly affected by the power breakage besides increasing difficulties for government hospitals includes Jinnah Hospital, Civil Hospital and Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
