LAHORE – The head coach of Pakistan hockey team, Shahnaz Sheikh urged government to reorganize the structure of Pakistan Hockey Federation in order to improve quality of game in the country.
He expressed these views while talking to media after the historic defeat of Pakistan hockey team in “World Hockey League”.
Shahnaz Sheikh said that hockey should be brought to grass root level for the revival of game in the country.
He urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to consult former Olympians and consider their valuable opinion to make structural changes in PHF.
He further added that payers should be given employment in order to get good results.
He added that had the government taken notice of performance of PHF and hockey team six months before the “World Hockey League”, Pakistan would have qualified for Olympic games 2016.
