ISLAMABAD – Arrested defence analyst and TV commentator from Pakistan, Zaid Hamid has been visited by his wife in the jail in Saudi Arabia, Arab media reports.
Zaid Hamid was arrested by Saudi Police two weeks ago when he made speech against the Saudi government in a public gathering.
It is worth mentioning that Zaid Hamid has sentenced for 8 years and over 1,000 lashes for criticizing Saudi government and Arab people.
oreign Office spokesperson Qazi Khalilullah told a news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, “Our embassy in Riyadh has informed us that Mr Zaid Hamid was arrested about two weeks ago. Since then, the embassy has been working with the local authorities to get consular access,”
