Islamabad donates 60 million to SKMH in couple of hours

ISLAMABAD –  Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre during a Fund Raising Aftar Dinner at local hotel of Islamabad, has collected more than 600 million rupees as a donation in couple of hours.

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan, while addressing to the Aftar Dinner, has said that SKMH has spent 19000 millions so far.

“The minimum expenditure on a cancer patient is almost 1.2 million and SKMH is providing 70% free treatment to poor patients”. Khan added.

Khan told that Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Peshawar will be functional by the end of this year.
PTI chairman said that SKMH is runnig through the generous support of people who contribute to the annual budget every Ramdan.

Imran Khan said that when he was starting SKMH, people asked him not to start cancer hospital as cancer is an incurable disease, but now cancer is not only curable but also people of Pakistan are getting state of the art treatment.
