Pakistan takes on Great Britain in HWL quarters

ANTWERP: As the World Hockey League last eight line up completes, Pakistan is to face Great Britain side in quarters on Thursday, July 1 at Antwerp, Belgium.

Pakistan finished on third spot in pool A after playing a second consecutive 2-2 draw against France. Green shirts were to play pool B’s second-placed team in quarters.

Pakistan had a disappointing tournament so far as they had a solitary win in first game against Poland and two 2-2 draws against arch-rivals India and France; Pakistan also faced a 6-1 humiliating defeat against mighty Australia.

Pakistan has to win this crunch game of quarter-final to qualify in Olympics.

The quarter-finals lineup, all of which take place on July 1, now reads like this:

 Australia v Ireland

| India v Malaysia

| Pakistan v Great Britain

| France v Belgium
