Legendary batsman Younis Khan ready to enter in the ‘Centurion Club’

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s legendary batsman Younis Khan is to enter in the ‘centurion club’ and ready to write his name in the history of Test cricket by playing his 100th Test match. 

Younis Khan will play his test number 100 against Sri Lanka at Colombo, on Thursday. He will become fifth Pakistani and 62nd International Test player to play 100th game.

The winning captain of Twenty20 world cup 2009, Younis Khan has so far scored 8594 runs in Test in 99 Test matches with an average of 53.71. The great Javed Miandad was the first Pakistani who achieved this landmark. Inzamam-ul-Haq, Wasim Akram and Saleem Malik also played more than 100 test matches for Pakistan.

Younis Khan is the third highest test runs scorer from Pakistan and he is just behind the Javed Miandad (8832) and Inzam-ul-Haq (8829). Younis Khan is leading century maker for Pakistan and he is also first Pakistan who scored century against all Test playing countries. He has scored 29 hundreds so far in his career.

Middle order batsman is just behind the Australian batsman Matthew Hayden to break another record of second leading centurion by scoring 30 test hundreds.

According to information, Pakistan team will present tribute to Younis Khan in the second test match against Sri Lanka and Naveed Akram Cheema who is manager of Pakistan cricket team, will present Shield of honor to great batsman Younis Khan on his achievement.
