Sindh government planning to use artificial rain in Karachi

KARACHI – Sindh government decided to use the method of artificial rain in Karachi to reduce the effects of heatwaves in the city, Thenewstribe.com learnt from TV reports.

According to the reports, Government planning to use the artificial method of rain but this process will take up to a month.

In artificial rain process, chemical sprinkle on clouds through airplanes and these chemical force the clouds to rain.

This process require huge amount of money and too much time after this there is no guarantee whether it will rain or not. Government hinted to take this step because of burning weather in Karachi.

More than 150 persons lost their lives in couple of days due to heatwaves. Earlier, In response to extremely hot weather and killings of hundreds of people in Karachi.

Earlier, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to establish Heat Stroke Centers across Sindh particularly in Karachi.

NDMA will set up these relief centers all over the Sindh and Karachi particularly with the assistance of provincial health department of Sindh and Provincial Disaster Management Authority.

Doctors, paramedical personnels and other medical provisions will be provided to the people suffering heat stroke.
Yesterday, Pakistan Rangers have also established Heat Stroke Relief Centers in ten areas of Karachi.

The Sindh Rangers have asked people of Karachi who want to have help, to reach the nearest heat stroke relief centers.
