NEW DELHI – Millions of People across India and in other parts of world celebrated the first International Yoga Day, on Sunday.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi petitioned the United Nation to declare International Yoga Day. Celebration of relaxation exercise create tension in some parts of India.
Indian Prime Minister along with his Cabinet members and foreign diplomats took part in yoga exercise at New Delhi.
Millions of students, soldiers, government servants, homemakers took part in the relaxing exercise in different parts of India.
According to information, Yoga events were organized at 30,000 places in Gujrat. While addressing the participants Indian Prime Minister said that ” we are training the human mind to begin new era and harmony.”
He also said that this program is for the benefit of man-kind and to spread message of harmony.
Yoga events ere also organised in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and some other place.
A member of the Muslim Personal Law Board, Kamal Farooqui, said that by promoting yoga, Indian government is trying to push a Hindu agenda.
“Any Muslim opposed to yoga should go drown in sea, ” a statement given by a member of Hindi nationalist part.
