Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: Pak finishes off first innings at high

GALLE – Pakistan team got out in its first innings of the first of three test match series against Sri Lanka at 417, taking huge lead of 117 runs over hosts on Saturday.

Stumbling team Pakistan at the third day of the match with five wickets lost on less than hundred runs, recovered from this petty position with blazing batting display by Sarfraz Ahmad and Asad Shafique.

Pakistan team started the day 4 of the first test match against Sri Lanka at the total score of 118-5, with still 182 runs behind off the host team.

Pakistan team in an unbelievable come back make 417 runs in its first innings courtesy Shafique’s 131, and Sarfraz’s quick 96 runs.

Earlier, host team scored 300 runs in its first innings thanks to Kushal Silva’s 125 runs off 300 balls.

Pakistan’s top order collapsed once again, with top three batsmen added only 19 runs collectively, leaving team in critical position.

Younis and Misbah showed some resistance, but younis got out at the individual score of 47, while Misbah manages to score 20 runs only.

Left arm spinner, Zulfiqar Babar, helped Asad Shafique remain stick to ground for quite some time, and scored fifty for his team.
