ISLAMABAD – Former test cricketer of Pakistan, Sarfraz Nawaz, accused the Chairman Executive Committee of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Najam Sethi, on Wednesday, that he is the agent of RAW and CIA.
Sarfraz Nawaz said that, “I request the honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan that he should immediately remove all non-cricketers from PCB to revive the game in Pakistan”.
Commenting on Shahryar Khan, Sarfraz said that he is not a viable option for chairmanship of PCB as he cannot even stand still on his feet.
Addressing in the press conference outside the National Press Club Islamabad, Sarfraz Nawaz said that Najam Sethi is the most defamed name of country who was involved in anti-state activities in past.
“He has never picked a bat or ball in his life time, then why is he given such a key position in Cricket Board” Sarfraz questioned.
He leveled allegation on Najam Sethi that he had purchased a flat of worth $10 crore in America with the funds of money laundering.
He further said that, “the high authorities in the cricket board lies with Moin Khan and Waqar Younis, both once involved in spot fixing scandal, have raised suspicions regarding fair play of game in Pakistan”.
He further said that, “under these circumstances, I am not hopeful enough for Pakistan qualifying for Champions trophy”.
During his address, he keep on stressing the removal of Najam Sethi from the board, and the need of holding Pakistan Super League in Pakistan to build up confidence of international players to come and play in Pakistan.
