LONDON – The Captain of Pakistan’s T20 cricket team, Shahid Afridi, said, on Wednesday, that Pakistan cricket is witnessing continues decline due to its bad domestic structure.
According to sources, Star all-rounder of Pakistan said that Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) authorities stop criticizing players, and start focusing on domestic structure of Pakistan cricket.
Afridi suggested that, “there is a need to establish and restructure domestic cricket from the grass root level”.
While giving interview to one of the websites of Cricket Australia Shahid Afridi said that, “I am very upset at the declining trend of domestic cricket in Pakistan”.
He requested the PCB authorities to put more focus on the restructuring and reforming domestic structure of the Pakistan cricket.
He further added that, “we should learn lesson from South African Cricket which remain away from international cricket for a very long time, but they managed to establish great domestic structure”.
This is the result of their suffering that they are bearing the fruits in the form of high level of international standard cricket in South Africa.
