PM Nawaz Sharif to meet Asif Zardari today

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will host a lunch in the honor of the former President, Asif Ali Zardari and both will have an important one-on-one meeting at the PM House today.

It will be a very important meeting since it is taking place in the backdrop of a controversial address by the former President against security forces of the country.

While talking to media, the Prime Minister said that remarks of the Former President regarding Pakistan Army are highly inappropriate.“At a time when our armed forces are engaged in a war against terrorism, it is highly inappropriate for Mr Zardari’s to issue such statements,” Nawaz Sharif said.

Earlier, Asif Ali Zardari had said the military generals’ serving tenure was no longer than a few years but political parties like the PPP “would last forever”.
