JOHANNESBURG – The top actress of Hollywood, Angelina Jolie, said that necessary steps should be taken to stop violence against women.
While giving speech in one of the international ceremonies of African Union in South Africa, she said that women are still treated inhumanely.
She stressed on international forums to play their part in helping women claim their due status and right.
United Nation’s special ambassador for Refugees, Angelina Jolie, said that problems of women are increasing after every passing day.
She further said that, “world has moved onto the twenty first century, but many people are still following the norms of dark ages when it comes to treating women”.
“Women should be empowered enough, so that they would be able to make their way out of any trouble and misery”, she added.
