MANDI BAHAUDDIN – According to the unofficial result from 90 percent polling stations PML-N candidate Mumtaz Ahmed got 77,884, while PTI candidate Mohammad Tariq Tarar got 40,570 votes. PPP’s Asif Basheer Bhagat secured 29,618 votes.
On the polling day, there was mixed news of violence but over-all polling was peaceful.Three supporters of PML-N and two of PTI were injured in an exchange of fire in Rakh Baoch, a rural area of the constituency.
PML-N workers already started celebrating the victory with immense amount of fire works and bhangra last night, as the results from 278 polling stations out of 289 in the constituency had clearly indicated the victory of PML-N.
