GILGIT – The polling time in Gilgit-Baltistan general elections have ended and the process of counting votes will be started soon.
According to media sources, persons who are already inside polling station are allowed to cast their vote. Counting of votes in various constituencies has already been started.
The polling in all seven districts of the mountainous region continued till 5pm without any break. Gilgit Baltistan administration declared a public holidays to facilitate the voters.
Moreover, election polling remains peaceful and no major violent incident happened. Election Commission has called Army personnel to perform security duties during the elections.
