GILGIT BALTISTAN –Election Commission of Pakistan will hold Gilgit Baltistan (GB), Legislative Assembly, elections tomorrow on Monday.
According to sources, 268 candidates had submitted their papers to contest the legislative assembly elections over 24 seats of Gilgit Baltistan.
Sources said that up to 17 political parties were taking part to contest the GB elections, adding that section 144 had also been imposed as a result public gatherings and rallies were banned.
A total of 1143 polling stations are being established throughout the Gilgit Baltistan, among them 152 polling stations have been declared  extremely sensitive.
Furthermore, Army officials have been deputed at all the polling stations on the request of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to maintain law and order situation and also to cope with an unfortunate incident.
The Army Officials deputed at the polling stations would have charge of the Magistrate.
