Swimming At Karachi Beach Prohibited

KARACHI – Section-144 has been imposed on Karachi beach in order to prevent any casualty as the coastal area is being predicted to be hit by a cyclone.

According to the sources, the Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Siddiqui, ordered the implementation of section-144 on swimming in the Arabian Sea. However, the public would be allowed to visit the beach for recreation.

The Meteorological department on Saturday said the cyclone developing in the Arabian Sea was 1,575 KM south of the city.

According to the MET office, the intensity and impact of the cyclone will be determined in the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, under Section 144 people have been prohibited from swimming.

On Thursday a cyclone alert had been issued by the MET office after the development of a low pressure system was spotted in the Arabian Sea.
