LAHORE – The legend of world cricket, Javed Miandad, said that Zaheer Abbas’ nomination as president of International Cricket Council (ICC) on behalf of Pakistan is a very mature decision on Thursday.
According to sources, the legendary cricketer lauded the decision of cricket board for nominating Zaheer Abbas from Pakistan side as the coming president of ICC.
He said that Zaheer Abbas has the ability of communication skills to convince International Cricket Council (ICC) for reviving international cricket in Pakistan.
Furthermore, it is pertinent to mention here that ICC banned international cricket in Pakistan soil in the wake of terrorists attack on Sri Lankan team in 2009.
However, Pakistan Cricket Board was in contact with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in order to convince them to visit Pakistan for cricket matches, after successful tour of Zimbabwe team.
