PARIS – Novak Djokovic defeated nine-time champion Rafael Nadal by 7-5, 6-3 and 6-1 and reached to the French open Semi-finals, inflicting only second defeat Rafael in 72 matches in Roland Garros on Wednesday.
It is for the first time that Djokovic inflicted a defeat on Nadal in seven head to head matches in Paris.
It was the dark day for Nadal as he had to celebrate his birth day in such compact defeat from the Djokovic.
It put a serious question on to the coming matches of Nadal as to whether he will be able to win the French open crown for the 10 time, fulfilling his dream.
Novak Djokovic win the all three sets of the game comprehensively defeating Nadal by 7-5, 6-3 and 6-1.
After defeating Nadal, Djokovic will play his 26th career Grand Slam semi-final either against Andy Murray or David Ferrer.
