Pak-China Sign An Important Deal In Railways

LAHORE – Pakistan and China sign an important deal on the transportation of coal through Railways. The ceremony of signing MOUs in underway in Lahore.

The Railways Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique attends the ceremony. The minister said that different proposals are under consideration for the development of railways sector.

“1320 MW of electricity would be added to the national transmission through Sahiwal-Coal Project.” Saad added.

Talking about the current plans in upgrading the services, he said that the E-Ticketing would soon be employed for the convenience of passengers.

Khwaja Saad Rafique said that 55 new railway engines would soon be purchased to replenish the overgrowing needs of the sector.

Commenting on the CPEC, he said that the project would be completed as per the plans at all costs.
