ISLAMABAD – The Ministry of Petroleum has stated that it had sent a summary to the Prime Minister for retaining the petroleum prices.

According to the sources, the ministry wants to retain the oil prices at least during the holy month of Ramadan.

However, the final decision resides with the PM who would give the approval or rejection of the summary sent to him.

On May 29, OGRA had sent a summary to the Petroleum Ministry to review the prices. The gasoline price was increased by Rs6.19, high octane by Rs13.25, high speed diesel by Rs7.91 and light diesel was increased by Rs7.62.
