Raza shines as Zimbabwe set 269 runs target

LAHORE: Sikander Raza shined as Zimbabwe posted a respectable 269 runs target against Pakistan in second One Day International (ODI) played here at Gaddafi Stadium on Friday.

Zimbabwe had traffic start as visitors posted 83 for the first wicket thanks to Chamu Chibhabha and Vusi Sibanda but soon fight back by picking up a few quick wickets.

Chibhabha was unlucky as he lost his wicket on 99 courtesy of Shoaib Malik.

While Yasir Shah picked up two wickets in middle of the inning which stopped the run flow of Zimbabwe.

At this stage Zimbabwe desperately need someone from the team to fire and Raza did the same. He smashed 100 just facing 84 bowls to guide the total to 268 runs mark on loss of seven wickets.

Anwar Ali, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik picked up one wicket each.
