LAHORE – The IG Punjab, Mushtaq Sukhera, while acknowledging the letter sent by Police Services of Pakistan (PSP) has said that all the lawyers would be dealt with law.
He said that the delay on the part of police to file cases against the lawyers, who took the law in hands, was only due to aggravated conditions of law and order.
While condemning the killings in Daska, he said that the lawyers involved in damaging police vehicles and public property would be dealt with iron hand.
The Police Services of Pakistan (PSP) had formally written a letter, expressing severe reservations, to Inspector General Punjab Police, Mushtaq Sukhera.
According to the sources, the police dispatched a letter to IG Punjab. The context of the letter reads that the decision of Government without hearing the stance of police was condemnable.
The PSP said that they condemned the killing of lawyers but the reasons of such an action should be sorted out through in-depth analysis.
