President Alexander To Arrive In Islamabad Today

ISLAMABAD – President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, is to arrive in Islamabad on Thursday on a two-day state visit.

According to the Radio Pakistan, President Alexander Lukashenko who was to arrive earlier this week at the request of President Mamnoon Hussain, delayed his trip due to the death of his mother.

The trip marks the first ever visit by a Belarusian president to Pakistan. A series of official talks will be held by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with President Lukashenko and his delegation.

President Lukashenko’s visit will help in strengthening the existing ties between the two countries, and it is likely that a number of important agreements and MoUs will be signed by the two countries in agriculture and other fields.
