PM Nawaz Chairs Meeting On Balochistan

ISLAMABAD – The Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif chaired the special meeting on Balochistan. The meeting was attended by different civilian and military leaders.

The overall political and law and order situation of the province came under discussion. The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that the government was taking concrete steps to promote peace and bring prosperity to the province.

While discussing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he said that Balochistan province would be greatly benefitted by the economic corridor.

The CPEC project was a promising development in the history of Pakistan, which would lay down new era of economic and social development, added Nawaz.

The Prime Minister was also briefed on the security environment of Balochistan. Nawaz also stressed to bring Balochistan equivalent to the remaining provinces through literacy and infrastructure development.
