Malik shines as Pakistan set a mammoth of 375 in 1st ODI

LAHORE: Shoaib Malik has made a traffic return to One Day International team as he smoked a brilliant ton as Pakistan set a massive 370 runs target against Zimbabwe in first ODI played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.

Pakistani openers set a great platform for the coming batsmen as they posted 170 for 1st wicket as skipper Azhar Ali made 79 while Mohammad Hafeez was bowled on 86.

At that time Malik and Haris Sohail took the charge of the preceding as both put on a big partnership of 200 runs.

Both guided Pakistan towards 375 runs mark on loss of three wickets. Malik was the last man dismissed on 112 while Sohail remained unbeaten on 88. This is the highest total by any team in Pakistan.

P Utseya took two wickets for the side while Panyangara picked up a wicket only.
