ISLAMABAD – Islamabad High Court has restored the dismissed Chairman of Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Chaudhry Rashid, as Chairman PEMRA on Monday.
Chaudhry Rashid was dismissed by the President of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain, and he challenged the dismissal in the Islamabad High Court.
Justice Nur-ul-Haq Qureshi of Islamabad High Court has given the decision in favor of former Chairman PEMRA and restored him in his previous position.
Justice Nur-ul-Haq restored him saying that he was dismissed on no solid grounds and he will continue to hold his position for the better length of time from now on.
