Section-144 imposed in Peshawar

PESHAWAR – Section-144 of the code of criminal procedure has been imposed in Peshawar by the Deputy Commissioner (DC), which bans a gathering of more than four people for rallies.

A notification in this regard has been issued. Section 144 also bans carrying weapons.

During the media briefing, DC Peshawar said that imposition of section 144 will prohibit the use of loud speakers and pillion riding. There will be ban on carrying weapons and aerial firing.

He further added that this order shall come into force forthwith and shall remain enforce for 30 days with immediate effect.
