Rangers Return The Indian Woman’s Body

SIALKOT – The Chenab Rangers handed over the dead body of an Indian woman that had floated into Pakistani territory, to the Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) on Saturday.

Chenab Rangers Sector Commander Brigadier Waseem handed over the body to the Indian BSF officials at 08:30pm in a ceremony held at Inayat Shaheed Post near Bajwat along the Working Boundary.

According to senior Rangers officials, the body of the 28-years-old woman was spotted by some locals at Head Marala after it reportedly reached there floating in the River Chenab some three days ago.

It was fished out and the local police buried it in a graveyard near Head Marala temporarily.

Indian BSF had formally requested the Chenab Rangers for early return of the body, the Rangers officials said.
