Armed Clash Between Two Groups In Abbottabad

ABBOTABAD – The relatives of the deceased, who had died of police firing yesterday, have staged a protest against the government and have demanded quick arrest of the police officials involved.

Two groups had a clash which escalated to a severe tribal skirmish during the procession of local bodies elections in Sheikh-ul-Bandi Abbottabad.

The clash took place between two groups, one local and the other being Afghan group, on car parking issue- which escalated as more and more people gathered.

The police arrived at the incident and opened fire to disperse the public, aimed at no one. One of the bullets had hit a guy unfortunately, resulting in his immediate death. The post mortem reports confirmed that the bullet penetrated into belonged to police.

The relatives of the deceased have started protesting and gained violence as the protesters started attacking the car of deputy commissioner. Many shops are also being reported to have been shut down by the protesters.
