Man Arrested In Money Laundering

Lahore – Customs officials arrested a man identified as Abdul Basit at Allama Iqbal airport and recovered gold along with foreign currency above the prescribed limit.

The customs officials said that Abdul Basit carried 15 kilograms of gold and foreign currency worth 30 million Pakistani rupees. The currency and gold was intended to be carried to Dubai through private airlines.

The person was carrying gold and currency exceeding the predefined limit described by customs rules and was arrested, added AC Saqib Waraich. The case has been filed against the arrested man and interrogations have been started.
