FIA Sends Another Notice To Shoaib Sheikh

Karachi – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has served another notice to Shoaib Sheikh, Chief Executive Officer of Axact, to appear before committee formed to probe fake degrees scandal on Wednesday.

After the news published in New York Times Shoaib Sheikh and other administration have been in lime light, but they still avoids showing up in front of public.

FIA served the notice to Shoaib Sheikh to come to clear his stance but Axact’s authorities refused saying that he is out of city.

Another notice has been served by FIA to shoaib Sheikh, on Wednesday, to come before the committee urgently.

Federal Board of Revenue asked FIA for the captured data of Axact, so it can estimate the amount of tax payable by Axact.

Earlier, sources from SCEP reveals that Shoaib Sheikh also faces allegations to issue fake degrees, so he is under the notice of authorities.

Federal Board of Revenue has decided to start investigation against Shoaib Sheikh as he seems to be a culprit of tax evasion.

According to FBR, he only pays Rs. 26 as tax, but his net assets are worth millions.

FIA also decided to start an investigation against Axact private limited, after the revelation of fake degree scandal.

The Chairman CSEP, Zafar Hajazi, chaired a meeting to have a look at the record of Axact private limited. Sources said that Axact shows itself as a business comprising three different fields i.e IT development, call centers and IT imports and exports.

It never reveals about itself as an authority who can also issue education certificates. The spokesperson of FBR said that Axact has been selected for audit and its auditing has already been started.

In the light of media reports, Investigation about other aspects of company has also started.
