Punjab Government To Give Subsidy In Ramadan

LAHORE – The Punjab government has announced subsidy of Rs. 3 billion on flour during the holy month of Ramadan.

The 20 kg flour bag would be available 130 rupees cheaper than the normal price. The Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif announced Ramadan relief package which would comfort the general public to some extent.

The price of sugar, pulses, oil, vegetables and fruits would also be reduced during the holy month. The department of agriculture would open 335 fair price shops whereas 147 green channels would also be launched for the direct sale of their products.

The relief would also be given on eggs, chicken and meat products. CM Punjab ordered the provincial administration to take strict action against the hoarders.
