HARARE: Zimbabwe Cricket will officially inform Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) whether they are sending their team or not for tour of Pakistan.
According to PCB Chairman Shehryar Khan, Zimbabwe Cricket wants to send their team to Pakistan despite the opposition of local government.
“I have given surety to provide full proof security to Zimbabwe team,” he said and added, “now Zimbabwe board will try to convince their government for the tour and they will inform us tomorrow.”
Earlier, Zimbabwe have postponed the tour of Pakistan but didn’t officially informed to PCB.
Zimbabwe were scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on May 19 to play three one-day and two T20 matches.
Security concerns rose further on Wednesday when gunmen attacked a passenger bus and killed at least 44 people in Karachi.
It is pertinent to mention here that Zimbabwe team already had given green signal for Pakistan tour but due to recent incident in Karachi the tour is postponed.
