Saeed Ajmal To change His Bowling Action Again

LAHORE – PCB decides to drop Saeed Ajmal until he remodels his bowling action. The spin magician of the cricket world Saeed Ajmal is very likely, not going to be the part of cricket team for Zimbabwe’s tour to Pakistan, as the National Selection Team is considering dropping him till the time he fixes his action.

The ICC had banned the Pakistani off spinner last year due to his controversial bowling action of bent arm.

Recently he was successful in rectifying his bowling action and had joined the cricket team for Bangladesh tour. But it was felt that his new action, although legal, is not effective.

Due to this he would be suggested to play county cricket because the long bowling spells in it would certainly help him regaining the diversification of deliveries and make his action more effective.

PCB maintains that this was his own decision as he had to undergo a biomechanical test and was not ready for it. It is pertinent that on the ban of Saeed Ajmal, the Selection Committee was also criticized.

Saeed Ajaml has a contract signed with Worcestershire and it is an “A category contract”. Due to his last year’s excellent performance with this county, there are chances that he would be successful in becoming a part of it.
